Understanding Reiki Attunements
Reiki attunements come from Usui Reiki which is the original Reiki and is the foundation for any Reiki healer. This is an attunement that initiates a person to become a Reiki healer. Usui Reiki attunement is actually made up of 3 attunements in one. These Reiki attunements can be given up to Master level at one time, or can be divided into three different Reiki attunements. 
Unless you have lots of previous history of working with your energy body, then the best choice is usually to receive the attunement in three different sections. When a person first receives an introduction into the Reiki energy the body goes about removing blocks from the energy systems that keeps them from being a good conduit to the energy, sometimes this can cause a slight detox.
Everyone detox’s in different ways, but the most common symptoms include: body aches, tiredness, emotional ups and downs and most commonly cold symptoms. By receiving these Reiki attunements in three different steps, it will lesson your detox and allow your body to incorporate the energies into your body with the least symptoms possible. Most importantly, from the time you receive your first attunement you will be able to start to do self healing. This is imperative and every healing you do will bring you closer to being the diamond you were born to be! Not only that, but each healing you do on yourself will make you a better conduit for stronger energy when you heal yourself, or begin to work with family members, etc.
